(Warning: this post will make no sense to folks who don't play Kingdom of Loathing)

*sigh* I was going for the Wossname, and had managed to get the Hippy side of the Battlefield down to image #30. And then I battled, and instinctively hit "adventure again" and finished the second battle without checking the image. Yep -- image #32. I blew it.

The Silver Wossname is tough. Most people who go for it say that the images aren't good enough, and that you have to keep a running total in your Quest Notes to get it right.

I'm starting on the "Amateur Tour-Guide" trophy, which takes ten ascensions of ten different familiars, each of which was responsible for more than 90% familiar experience over the course of the run.

I'm going for Scourge of Seals, so I figured it's as good a time as any to use my Killer Bee.

Well, look at it this way: when going for a Level 30 trophy, you'll have plenty of kills. You'll typically want to use the Hovering Sombrero or the Blood-faced Volleyball for those, but the Killer Bee does a good job of adding Muscle attributes to the occasional kill. Should you have to use another familiar for whatever reason (I don't; I can get the NS Familiar Battle familiars above 20 pounds on buffs alone), you have plenty of kills to tip your favorite over 90%.

That said, perhaps it would be better to use the Killer Bee with the Turtle Tamer, who doesn't do as much damage to their opponents anyway.

Too late for this run, altho it's working well so far.

I've been tracking on an index card instead, and when I got near the magic 124th battle I started checking the image after every fight.

I'm sorry you got screwed. :( The Wossname is tough. I just finished paring down the hippies, and I'm now doing the preparatory quests for the Fratboys.

Bummer.

I managed to get my Woss this time around, but got glitched out of Bad Moon.

Apparently if this is your first post NS-13 HC run there was some glitch that you couldn't get into Bad Moon. Forum thread on it.

All I know is that I followed all the rules and did not get it offered to me on Ascension.
