yendiToday is free pizza day! As in, lunch meeting, so we're getting fed. Woohoo!

1. It's not a bug. . .
2. The PC version of Bioshock comes loaded with spyware/DRM. In fairness, 2K Games does seem to be listening, although thinking things through before shipping would have made more sense.
3. Just got my notice that my LJ account expires in 12 days (and why the hell do they do the 12-day notice? Why not thirty, like any other company?). The best part, though, was that it was addressed to "A succulent breast dispensing good recommendations." :-)
4. Hate YouTube's new ads? Have Firefox? Try Tubestop. It also stops YouTube autoplay, but since I have embedded videos disabled when I view LJ, and wouldn't spend time on Myspace unless you paid me (a lot), that's not a huge concern for me.
5. The Watertown Public Library will offer a presentation on New England's Famous Authors of Popular Fiction in September.
6. Wonder what happened to Half.Com, Oregon? Wonder no more.
7. Ten sites for free legal music downloads.
8. Ralph Kiner will be broadcasting an inning of Saturday's Mets/Dodgers game on Fox! Woohoo! Scientific fact: TIm McCarver is 100% less annoying and 87% more observant when broadcasting with Kiner.
9. Kristen Bell loves nerds! And not those Wonka candies, either.
10. FInally, Amazon's latest DVD sale is a huge Anime sale, with up to 59% on tons of stuff, including Naruto, Samurai Champloo, Bleach, Inuyasha, El Hazard, Helsing, Ranma, and others. There are a couple of hundred titles here.
