I know that some of you are concerned after last night's loss, but no worries:

The part of the first-place team that plays like the baseball equivalent of the Washington Generals down the stretch (albeit without as much heart) and blows the biggest lead in the majors is clearly being played by the Mets.

I mean, it takes a special kind of talent to blow a game by committing the most egregious interference play in MLB history to prevent the tying run from scoring. That makes giving up a homer to a light-hitting shortstop look like peanuts.

remember when the white sox almost blew the lead two years ago, and then still made it to the playoffs? same thing.
