Her obit seems ... skimpy. Anyway, it's hard to believe _A Wrinkle in Time_ was written in 1963. It's held up well. I never did read all of the sequels, but I think I should re-read the original sometime soon.
Last night, I was cleaning my bedroom and I came across a copy of _A Wrinkle in Time_ which I haven't read since I was a kid and planned to read it again. *sigh*
The line "Speaking of ways, by the way, there is such a thing as a tesseract" has been on my mind the last few days. A small remembrance; that novel rocked my world back in grade school, and it's always stayed with me.
Everyone forgets but she wrote adult fiction too, and some of the was even better in my oppinion. "The Other Side of the Sun" is a great example. Don't just re-readout of nostalgia guys, discover what an amazing versitile writer she really was. (BTW that "was" hurt to type.) *goes off to cry some more*
