Deadwood: Offically dead

Ian McShane has confirmed that those Deadwood movies that HBO promised were just a bunch of bunk.

The only words I have in response to this are "cocksucker" and "motherfucker."

I wonder if HBO dangled the idea of the Deadwood movies in front of David Milch in order to keep a good relationship him for the development of 'John of Cincinnati,' which one can only imagine was a significantly less expensive program. I don't recall if 'J of C' was renewed.
