Amazon's rolling out a bunch of mega-DVD sales again:
1. Up to 50% off on Sports Movies. This one includes 23 under-$10 movies, ranging from memorable flicks like Bull Durham, Eight Men Out, and Bend it Like Beckham to more forgettable movies like the remake of Rollerball, Like Mike, and the Oscar-winning* Like Mike 2: Streetball.
2. Up to 50% off on Art House and Indie pictures. There are 31 movies here, mostly at 50% off. Better ones include Lost in Translation, Pride & Prejudice, Brick, Brokeback Mountain, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind ($7 for one of my all-time favorite movies).
3. And, of course, since it's October, there's a Horror Movie sale, with up to 55% off on more films than I can count. There's a bunch of After Dark Horror Festival films, tons of Asian horror (Infection, Oldboy, Tale of Two Sisters, The Eye, etc), some modern classics B-movies (Dagon, Critters, Slither, The Hidden), plenty of Bava and Argento, lots of Masters of Horror discs, assorted Halloween, Chucky, Nightmare on Elm Street, and other franchise movies, some recent stuff like Vacancy, classic Vincent Price stuff, and tons of vampire and zombie films. We're talking about at least 200 films here.
And, just to top things off, the pre-order for The Simpsons Movie is at $15.99 (47% off). Woo hoo! Cheap Spider-Pig!
*Okay, not really.
