How "faithful" is faithful? I doubt they'll have everyone running around naked like the books did.

Hmm. I wonder if they'll render two versions, one "faithful" and one "family friendly"...

Heh. I'd like to see that. That said, there's a big difference between "faithful" and "ludicrously loyal to the details." Some stuff doesn't translate well to the big screen, and I'm okay with that.

I'm wondering: If this happens, will this be the first PG-13 Pixar film? I know Brad Bird has lobbied for animation to be used for more than family films, and a John Carter of Mars trilogy seems the type of film where Pixar would graduate to that. It's reminding me of Walt Disney Pictures doing the Pirates of the Caribbean films as PG-13 flicks.

I'm curious that Harry Knowles -- who's been involved in trying to make a live-action Princess of Mars film -- has apparantly said nothing about the Pixar version yet.

Heck, I remember when The Black Hole came out, and everyone was freaking out about a Disney movie being rated PG!
