Heh. I'd like to see that. That said, there's a big difference between "faithful" and "ludicrously loyal to the details." Some stuff doesn't translate well to the big screen, and I'm okay with that.
I'm wondering: If this happens, will this be the first PG-13 Pixar film? I know Brad Bird has lobbied for animation to be used for more than family films, and a John Carter of Mars trilogy seems the type of film where Pixar would graduate to that. It's reminding me of Walt Disney Pictures doing the Pirates of the Caribbean films as PG-13 flicks.
I'm curious that Harry Knowles -- who's been involved in trying to make a live-action Princess of Mars film -- has apparantly said nothing about the Pixar version yet.
AICN is not totally full of suck. Knowles, however? Sorry, some people should not be allowed access to a keyboard. Or any form of media which allows them to inflict themself upon others.
