1. Wal-Mart ad in which a woman tells us that she and the girls aren't really football fans; they just like having a big social event each week. The commercial shows all the wimminfolk in the kitchen, missing the game (but wearing their stylish NFL-licensced jerseys) while they make dips for their Manly Men, who are, of course, actually football fans.

2. Budweiser commercial that actually uses the phrase, "your best beer ever," to describe a potential bottle of Bud.

3. Mitt Romney campaign ad in which he gripes about Republicans who act like Democrats.

4. Eight million promos for Back to You and 'Til Death implying that the shows are comedies, but not actually showing anything funny.

5. Constant stream of Visa commercials implying that people who use cash are horrible people (and non-conformist, because we all know that not fitting in leads to drugs and other bad stuff), and that cash slows things down compared to Visa.

5.5. One of the Visa commercials, in particular, uses Louis Armstrong music in ad.

6. Any and all Burger King commercials that don't feature The King.

7. The Taco Bell commercial in which the older (and "manly") brother turns out to be "whipped" because he has a wife and the responsibility of walking his dog.

I swear, if it weren't for sports (and the fact that I prefer only using my Tivo to pause or run replays during sporting events, not recording them to watch later), I wouldn't have to put up with commercials at all.
