The first episode was cute, helped by the fact that Applegate and Smart are both superb at comic timing.

ABC's Tivo-busting (deliberately running the show longer than the scheduled time), on the other hand, was anything but cute.

I read something at work the other day that said ABC was really bad for TiVo-busting.

Looks like it's ABC's night for pissing people off. (MFD and her video issues)

NBC had ER scheduled a minute longer (61 minutes) for a long time. We tried and could not come up with a reason aside from stopping people with one-tuner TiVos from switching to another station in time for the next hour's show.

Yeah, I saw her post a few moments before my own ABC issues. Stupid network.

NBC sounds like it's joined the game, as well. They've been pulling crap with their comedies for a while, and they're spreading it to the dramas.

Except now that I think about it, Samantha Who began exactly on time, so there's no excuse there.

I can't stand that sort of thing. I've stopped watching shows because of it in the past. Thing is, I can't imagine it's any less annoying to non-tivo viewers.
