You know, the weird thing is that they sell Charmin over here without any of his ads (none of the 'don't squeeze the Charmin' campaign is used here), but I keep thinking of him whenever I see Charmin in the stores.
I don't think they use the Don't Squeeze the Charmin campaign here anymore, either, actually. But like the "Time to Make the Donuts" campaign, it's pretty indelibly associated with the product.
true..the original campaign ended in 1985 but they brought him back briefly in the late 90s...he lobbied to have his son take over the role(no pun intended) but had no luck...
