A few more Amazon deals

No, I'm not hitting the stores today, thank you very much.

But Amazon's still got some good deals:

The Black Friday DVD Sale is still on, and still amazing (Spider-man 2 for $4? The 300 for $7? Alien Quadrilogy for $20? Hell, yeah).

There's also a sale on "custom DVD bundles," with 55-70% off bundles of shows like Millennium, Futurama, and Boston Legal, and movie packs built around Noir, Sleepovers, and Sports.

There's also the overall Black Friday sale at Amazon, which includes hourly lightning deals (they had an HP printer for $10 earlier, and will have cookware and the Planet of the Apes gift box later), a contest, and assorted good deals throughout the stores (although you have to hunt for 'em; the music one has the Emmylou Harris box set for 51% off, though, and the electronics store has the iPod Shuffles for $68). The videogame store (linked on the left of the BF page) has Sonic and the Secret Rings for $20 and Bioshock for $40, amongst other solid deals.

I feel like you would know this if anyone would. I really, really want to buy my husband the Planet Earth DVD set for Chanukah, and I've been desperately hunting for a really good sale price with no luck. Have you seen it for cheap(ish) anywhere by any chance?

Define cheap -- you can it for under $50 if you order it from DeepDiscount.com and use the 20% off coupon (PRICESEARCH), but that's the best I've seen. No one seems to have made it a part of their Black Friday deals, as far as I can tell.

Most of what I've seen is also the Attenborough version, not the Sigourney Weaver one that aired on Discovery. Not sure if that matters.

Just a heads up, if you dont mind actually going to Best Buy, they have Bioshock on the Wii for $25 yesterday and today. (Fri-Sat.) Dunno about other versions.
