1. Yet another shining example of why the DMCA sucks (ganked from [livejournal.com profile] pnh over at Making Light).

2. While we're at it, how about the MPAA, who apparently have no qualms about copyright violations when it's the one committing them.

3. Considering a Kindle? [livejournal.com profile] haikujaguar loves it. Charles Stross doesn't.

4. Microsoft forgot to beta test their Santa Chat app properly, and Santa promptly started talking about oral sex.

5. There's going to be a new Gnarls Barkley album next year! Yay!

6. Nick Cage wants to do a second Ghost Rider movie. And a third National Treasure film. God help us all.

7. [livejournal.com profile] theferrett has some postmortem thoughts on Home on the Strange.

8. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Intelligent Design. Nothing I can say here is funnier than the title itself, which has its target audience pegged perfectly.

9. Speaking of teh stupid, The View's Sherri Shepherd (who might be one of the five dumbest people in America, in spite of her good work on 30 Rock), thinks that Jesus was so powerful, he magically went back in time so he could exist before the Greeks.

10. Finally, for those people who really like the Google Chat interface, you can now use it to chat with folks on AIM.

o.O

You know, I thought I was having a crap day. But man, at least I'm doin' better than that Shepherd woman. Wow. I don't even know how to address that level of ignorance. It's too...determined?

It's Willful Ignorance. If she spent a half hour in the history section of any good library or bookstore.. or even on the net.

There was a time when I would've thought that Sherri Shepherd was an aberration - now I know that she's middle-America... that whole huge part that is blissfully righteous in its ignorance, and perfectly okay with itself that way.

It's kind of scary - but at least now I understand how this country got to be the way it is today.

The blissfully righteous in its ignorance is what scares me about it. This is part of why I generally avoid talking religion with my family.

I really don't know what to think about the Shepherd thing. Because I don't know if she's serious (seeing other clips I think she is) and because I know it's not an isolated belief.

I'm really frustrated about it. :/

but jesus did exist then! see, doctor brown took his time machine and went back in time to get jesus with marty. then, through a series of misadventures, went back in time and fought alexander the great, who looks remarkably like biff.

then jesus founded chritianity, which was the first religion you know (that part of the video surprised me even more. who knew jesus wasn't jewish?)
