A naming gimmick that will eventually run out of steam

Lots of shows use naming gimicks. Friends, of course, named every episode something beginning with "the one" ("The One Where Joey Gets an Enema"). Scrubs uses "My" in the same way ("My Yellow Brick Road"). Degrassi names each episode after a classic song or album. Gossip Girl goes for movie-based puns and riffs ("Bad News Blair"). All of thee have lots of potential.

Eli Stone, a new ABC show this month, has gone for George Michael songs.

They're either going to change the gimmick, or find themselves desperate for decent titles after a while.

That, or they're not expected to make it a full season.

They could also just be using George Michael for the first season, and will move on to a different gay British 80s has-been should there be a second season.......

Or, the could move on to different members of Wham. I know that Ridgely had that one solo album.

Or they could start actually commissioning Michael to write new songs. I wonder how much that would cost ABC. . .
