1. Work was hellish yesterday, and will be has been again today (yeah, it's been that long since I started this post). I owe a bunch of you emails, and am just ludicrously behind.

2. Both 'song and Elayna are out sick today. :-(

3. Yendiopolis is currently in need of a wee bit of industry (1% unemployment), after which regular residents will be welcome again.

4. Bif Naked has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She's in treatment, and I'm hoping they manage to nail it.

5. McDonald's will start full barista-level service in their restaurants. I'm sure it will be offered with the same smile and efficiency that I've come to expect from them.

6. Sears is getting sued over the Manage My Home fiasco.

7. Jim Rice didn't make it. Damn. Jack Morris didn't even get serious consideration, which shows that it really is a popularity contest. That said, I'm happy for Goose. And Rice will make it next year.

8. Only one warm Amazon deal worth noting today: The Canon PowerShot SD40 7.1MP is $159.99 (64% off, although really only a about 48-50% off other retail prices). Note that this is through J&R Computer World, but still includes free shipping.
