I totally expect that in the news! Think about the people actually writing these headlines. They're all in their early 20's and had their public educations handed to them on a platter. :p
As was made blatantly clear in a recent online conversation (and I paraphrase).
Language evolves and changes, and while the dictionary definition of a word (with the Oxford English Dictionary) requires 2 confirmed public (print or broadcast) citations of the words usage for acceptance as a new word, it can however be argued that any words meaning that can clearly be understood can be a real word in its infancy.
Sasquatchy = Like a Sasquatch in action or appearance.
(trust me, I am trying to memorise this statement, it could be damned useful during a game of scrabble.)
BTW. You do realise that the original point now counts as 1 printed, public citation of the word "Sasquatchy". Find another 2 (not sure if this thread counts), and you can submit it to the OED (Oxford English Dictionary), or American Equivalent and be responsible for a new dictionary entry!
