It's a fact

Every time you kick an airline executive in the crotch, an angel gets its wings.

Don't believe me? Try it. Try it a few times, just to be sure.

ETA: Okay, it might not rest on the head of execs, but on the "helpful" folks at the FAA ("We're here from the government, and we're here to help."). According to this page, "General Departure Delays: Because a traffic management program is delaying some arriving flights, departing flight schedules may be affected." Lovely "management" there.

That said, same thing applies to FAA execs as to airline execs.

yes there's the kind where you get to the airport and the flight leaves on time and lands on time and no one dies. It does happen, I swear.

it happens to me rather often but I think that is because I built up a ton of airplane karma in college dealing with USAirways to and from Pittsbugh out of Newark and Logan. 4 hour delay on a one hour flight, ya baby. and there was no airport wifi back then.

It says "due to weather/wind". I wasn't aware the FAA controlled that.

Ah, Newark, you have my sympathy.

Logan wasn't that bad, but then, it's been almost exactly 20 years since I last flew out of there.

I haven't had to fly anywhere in a few years, and I'd like to try to keep it that way. =)

It's that whole government conspiracy thing - of course they control the weather! =)

They didn't say they were managing it in your favour.

Dammit. I work for the government and I'm Jewish. I should be a lot better off than I am.

It's no surprise that flights are always late. Read this (http://gettheflick.blogspot.com/2008/01/air-traffic-safety-vs-capacity.html).
