yendiAmelia Rules -- a simply wonderful comic by Jimmy Gownley (whose career I've been following for ten or fifteen years -- since about Shades of Gray #6 or so) is up for four Eisners! I know it's been up for best YA series (now split off into Best Publication for Kids) before, but has it ever gotten a Best Issue nom as well?
Lots of other good folks got noms -- Peter David, Darwyn Cooke, etc -- and there's probably a lot of utter crap, but since I'm getting more and more out of touch with the mainstream side of the industry, I couldn't tell you what's actually good or not on the DC/Marvel front.
The lack of any Stan Sakai love, however, greatly disturbs me.
