Quick KOL update

I made it to level 400 of the Basement today (404, actually). I'm now at a point where I fail stat checks even with those stats buffed to 4000. On combats, I'm regularly getting 1050-1100 mainstat points per adventure.

I dread how much making it to level 500 will cost me. The Festering Powders, of course, are the worst.

I also made it to level 28 overall. I'll probably level halfway to 29 before hitting the Basement again.

Yes it was expensive. I finished up a couple of weeks ago and I'm going to hit the Basement every day for a couple power stats.

Geez, I'm level 33 and have only made it to around 250. Want to share some of your secrets (other than ones that involve ascension items)? I've found that El Vibrato island is a great stat-enhancer.

Which parts give you the most trouble? I rely on the oil of stability (the one that treats the base myst and mox as if they were equal to muscle), potions of gr8ness, tomato juice, the 100/200% potions (Philter of Phorce/Ferrigno's potion or muscle, etc), and lots of equipment.

For the elementals, I made five outfits (targeting each element), and use the Phials to take care of one element (the wiki is very helpful).

For combats, the Divine items (Noisemaker, etc) combined with Funkslinging do serious damage. Uncapped Pasta/Sauce spells also work nicely.

It's usually the "Throwin' Down the Gauntlet" that gets me. I've got a list of about 50 items/potions that I need to get by that one. It's a real drag to work on the basement lately.

I should have probably waited until I got more ascension skills/items, but now I hate to waste the 2+ million meat I've already spent on this quest.

Get the latest version of Mafia, and then use the relay browser to adventure, and it tells you what items and outfits you could use.

Personally I used the Brimstone outfit and all the potions I could swig.
