Yeah, Herzog alone has potential, but I can't see how anyone could think Cage was a good idea. Maybe Herzog hasn't really heard of him, but just knows that he won an Oscar.

In fairness, I don't think anyone would expect the star of the remake to be better than Keitel. It's not unreasonable, however, to expect the actor to be better than, say, a paper bag.

See, 1-I wanna seem some nicky junky, 2-I think Nick is perfectly capable of good acting, he just hasn't done it lately. Herzog is the kind of psychopath who could pull it out of him.
