This review of The Shindig Happening is hysterical. It's also chock full of spoilers, so don't read it if you want to be surprised by the fact that Mark Wahlberg's dead throughout the entire movie, and that Zooey Deschanel has a penis. Or by the stuff that actually happens in the movie.

I saw a review of the movie last night on Naked News. They gave it a 0 out of 5.

okay, wow. That was an awesome review. I'm very glad I read it. for if I were to actually see this movie I'd be screaming at the screen so loud as to bother any patrons who somehow might be getting joy from this seeming travesty.

Shyamalan really should stay away from science fiction concepts. This sounds even worse than Signs. (Yes, I know people argue that Signs was a good movie. They're wrong.) From looking at commercials for this thing I get the impression that Night just wanted to make a rated R movie, did so, and went, "Yay!" Oy.

Zooey Deschanel has a penis.

I always sort of suspected.

But he completely left out the part where, following the revelation that hundreds of thousands of people have killed themselves and there's no known cause or escape, a middle-aged couple pause in the midst of packing supplies to offer an earnest commercial for hot dogs. "Hot dogs really get a bad rap," the guy says. WTFFFFFFFFFFF?

That review makes me want to watch the movie.

With alcohol, 'cause a movie that bad demands a drinking game.

And here I was thinking that the movie takes place in the 1800s and the characters only think it's the 21st century!

I watched about ten min of it at one of those online sites
(i think this one was veoh?) and after the "it's raining men"
scene they show in the ads, it went directly to some high school
scene that felt like it was the fifties.

After five-ten min of that dumbed down ecology lecture i gave up.
Not even worth watching for free.

They should stop letting him make films till he can again do something
like The Sixth Sense. Guess he was a one hit wonder.
