Max, RIP

We took Max to the vet this morning, and were not surprised to be told that it was his time. He was 18 and then some, and gave us so much time and love over the years. We'll miss him so much, and are so thankful for all the time and love we got from him over the years. I know a lot of you have met him (he's a cat who's lived in three states), and he's never been anything but a loving lapcat.

We know it was the right decision; his quality of life was deteriorating rapidly, and making him suffer for a few extra days of breath would have been cruel. It doesn't make it hurt any less.
