Crescent Moon has filed for bankruptcy. :-(

Mind you, it sounds like they were sold and jumped the shark since we left GA, but it was one of my favorite breakfast places (probably tied with Java Jive or Bagel Palace, depending on my mood) in the Atlanta area.

Crescent Moon made the grave mistake of assuming the Olympics were going to flood Decatur with tourism. They decided to be open 24/7, hired new people and ramped up the menu then waited for the flood. It never came.

I know this because I was one of the people they hired beforehand. I had to quit when the daycare costs were higher than the hours I was getting. The manager/owner was angry with me ANGRY WITH ME for leaving. I couldn't seem to make him understand that me PAYING to work there wasn't going to be worth it even if the so-called tidal wave of tourism happened A MONTH LATER.

With that kind of business-savvy... then they opened up sister restaurants a few years later. In malls that were on the decline. Yeah I'm not surprised they went under.

this is in explanation (possibly) as to why Rob sold the place. It wasn't doing well when he sold it. Hasn't recovered from what I read.

A couple of months ago we went to the Northlake Mall location, and the service was so unbelievably awful we had to leave and go to the food court.
