Happy Wednesday!
Nov. 5th, 2008 07:58 amSo, anything exciting happen last night? ;-)
Yeah, I'm pleased with the national result, as well as with how things went around here (we soundly thumped the idiotic Prop 1, decriminalized small amounts of marijuana, and banned greyhound torture). Not as pleased about a few national ballots (the homophobic trio in FLA, AZ, and especially AR, with the possibility of a fourth in CA), and I'm amazed at Alaska's inability to kick Ted Stevens out. But overall, I'm breathing a lot easier today than I was yesterday (literally, as my cold's mostly gone).
Twitter definitely broke under the strain last night; I'm assuming that the issues revolved around them storing different users on different servers, and having problems syncing them up.
Got to bed around 12:45 or so, I think. Woke up at my normal time to give Elayna the rest of the news (she knew that Obama had won, but not that FLA had gone for him, or how the local votes went). She was happy. :-)
Both Obama and McCain gave classy, elegant speeches, incidentally.
Now, the real work begins.
