Referring to the putz who, in a fit of pique over a nine-year-old child switching seats, decided to kick her off the school bus, the president of Emenwin Transportation said, "on this day he had a lapse in judgment."

You think?

What's even worse, is the comments on the article from people defending him. Jeeez. I don't care what the kid did, it does not justify putting her out on a busy road alone at almost 4 pm. I'm so glad the guy got canned. When you're dealing with the welfare of children, you don't get to have a lapse in judgement.

Well, as prior restraint is forbidden in our laws, you don't get to have a _second_ lapse in judgement.

I saw that on the news last night.
Regardless of whatever she did, there is no excuse for
leaving her two miles from her home on busy streets.

As it turns out he got mad because she changed seats
w/out permission. But you have to read a little closer
to find it was while the bus had *stopped*
and other students were getting off so she wasn't even
endangering herself.

The driver did that and should probably be charged
with child endangerment.

Kids can be brats on buses but there are safeguard
policies and rules to handle even an obnoxious student
(which she wasn't) and leaving them stranded, no matter
what the offense is not an option. Ever.
