I overslept this morning. Meant I couldn't have coffee or breakfast until I got to work. And that my hair was still much too wet when I left the house and the temperature was nineteen degrees (eleven with wind chill). So yeah, new dictionary word "meh" is a good one to use today.

Anyway, have some links:

1. 100 movie spoilers in 5 minutes. Don't watch if you don't want to know endings (they do get at least one recent film -- Hancock -- and also get at least one film -- Friday the 13th -- wrong. The sections on Meg Ryan and Rocky are the funniest.

2. Want to get a sense of the sort of ballots that are getting challenged in the MN Senate race? Go here. A lof the challenges, of course, really say much about the Coleman and Franken campaigns, but a lot of them also tell us that some folks really are too dense to figure out how to exercise a basic constitutional right. Also, Lizard People!

3. Meet the new SNL castmembers (includes Bobby Moynihan as well as Abby Elliott and Michaela Williams). Moynihan already stole this week's show (the parts Timberlake didn't steal) with his Snagglepuss bit and his part in the Beyonce's Dancer's sketch.

4. The notoriously left-wing Wall Street Journal has the final word on the stupidity of John Ziegler and his silly website, as well as on Zogby's ongoing lack of anything resembling ethics.

5. Finally, the South Park folks are heading to Broadway, with a musical based on Morman history.

Argh! We don't get to find out how the canvassers actually ruled on the challenged ballots. Some of them were pretty obvious, but some of them weren't. (The one with the erasure is pretty egregious on the part of the campaign...)

And Lizard People!

Husband showed me that movie spoilers video a few days ago - I love it!! And I totally agree with their "why the hell do people do remakes" mantra.

Watched a rerun of SNL the other day. Recent, during the campaigns, Anna Farris as host, they did the Sarah Palin interview to kick it off.

The Sarah Palin part was great, and the rest just sucked. And it sucked for the same reason SNL skits have sucked for the last almost two decades: they can't write an ending. The intro works because the ending is someone turning and shouting "live from New York" and bam, it's on. Every other skit just kind of dwindles away until they cut the camera. It's frustrating.
