Fun morning
Dec. 6th, 2008 12:36 pmYesterday, my father-in-law told me that the day was free until 3 (when we had to leave for the temple). Yay, writing time!
Today, I was not only called to run downstairs to get coffee (because none of the 85 people already in the room could figure out how to do this), but was afterwards dragged to breakfast (okay, no complaints there), the house (to set the Tivo so racist asshole uncle-in-law's sons could come home from the wedding and watch the Alabama/Florida game that they'll be missing, which I fully intend to spoil for them during the reception when I look up the score on my cell phone), the eye doctor (for father-in-law to get his glasses fixed), the house again (because the glasses were unfixable, but there was another pair at the house), and back to the hotel. From 9-12, I was running errands, which here is defined as "sitting in the car while someone else runs errands."
Grr.
I know that 'song has it worse today (she's in makeup hell, and has to deal with many more obnoxious folks than I had to deal with -- I actually like my father-in-law and my soon-to-be brother-in-law, who were the other folks in the car). Still, I'm annoyed.
In theory, I've got the next two hours or so free (with some time needed to shave and put on the motherfucking tuxedo). We'll see.
Come this afternoon, the real fun begins. So looking forward to this weekend being over. The hotel is nice, though.

Hopefully by the time you read this, the wedding is a part of your past. *hug*
