One More Amazon Deal: Cheap Amazon Prime!

Forgot to post this with the others this morning, but it's probably better on its own, anyway.

Amazon's offer a deal (in assocation with the Ellen show, I guess) on
Amazon Prime, offering one month free, then a year for $59.

Prime offers free two-dayshipping on all orders, and discounted overnight shipping for $3.99 an item. It covers any item sold directly by Amazon (books, DVDs, video games, cameras, computers, etc), as well as any third-party stores who use Amazon's shipping services. We definitely get our money's worth out of it -- $4.99 DVD deals are much better when you don't have to add $3 for shipping or bump an order to $25, and since it applies to orders sent to any address, it covers our gift shipping nicely. Getting it for free during the holidays is a nice deal (although if you don't want it past the holidays, remember to put a note on your calendar to cancel before the month expires).

I just renewed my Prime membership LAST month. How annoying. Still Prime is well worth it if you buy at all frequently from Amazon. Plus you can have up to..four people I think..signed up under one membership...

*nod* Yeah, if 'song and I couldn't use it separately (especially when buying gifts for each other), that would be a royal pain.
