yendiDock Ellis, the only pitcher (as far as I know) to throw a no-hitter while on LSD, has died.
1979 -- when he pitched briefly for the Mets -- was the first season I followed baseball, so I'll always think of him as a Met first. I only discovered that he'd had a decent career before his time in NYC a few years later.
