Frank Miller's Blithe Spirit.

Just picture it:

Elvira, instead of being a ghost, is a whore.

Ruth, instead of being Charles's wife, is another whore. And then a ghost whore.

Charles is still a novelist, but all his books are about whores. Also, he narrates the film (which is in black and white, except for the women's lipstick and red dresses) in a faux-noir style.

Madame Arcati? Retired whore. Or possibly Samuel Jackson dressed as a Nazi. Maybe both.

Miller will do for Coward what he did for Eisner: Make him spin in his grave.

ETA: No, as far as I know, there are no plans for this movie. But honestly, I wouldn't put it past Hollywood. Or Miller.

Next Miller will want to do the full film version of The Night the Reindeer Died. And not as a joke. (Yuo won't want to see what happens to Mrs. Claus.)

P.S. Heh, the YouTube link includes the letter combo "AzTUBA." No point to mentioning it, just that I like it.

Luckily for everyone except for Frank Miller, I'm not sure Hollywood's gonna give him another chance after the critical and financial disaster that was The Spirit.

God, please, let Hollywood not give him another chance.

Uwe Boll's Adventure, written by Frank Miller.

The adventurer-square? A whore. The three different colored dragons? CGI whores.

My understanding (no joke) is that Miller's next planned project is that he wants to rape the corpse of do another version of Buck Rodgers.

In it, Wilma's probably going to be a whore. *sigh*

Here's at least hoping that the incredibly poor showing for THE SPIRIT means he can't raise the... Bucks. (Sorry.)

i would totally audition for the stage version, man. that shit could be FUN. especially since i had it rammed into me in college that any time two female protags are on stage together it's competition of one sort or another. heh.

I was understudy for Madame Arcati in a community theater production a couple of decades ago. If the woman cast had missed just one more rehearsal, I would have had it (I think I was in more rehearsals than she was, until the director made that ultimatum). The woman cast was an older woman, so all she had to do was wear appropriate clothes. The director was already contemplating the camp wig, makeup, and costume he'd be dressing me in for the part (and I already had my own take on the accent, personality, and movements). Would have been my first time on stage in drag; instead, that had to wait several years for Rocky Horror.

P.S. There were no whores in my group's production.
