Man, my Firefox is screaming at me in pain. Too many open tabs, too little time.

1. Peter King explains how the NFL playoff officials are chosen. Like King, I also didn't know how this was done until this week.

2. PMLA Alternative Source Citing. Ever wonder how to document alien mind transmissions on your poli sci paper? Now you know!

3. The early history of Clue/Cluedo.

4. Much as I hate to ever let the Phillies off the hook, if what Peter Gammons writes is true, J.C. Romero got screwed.

5. Free screening of Metropolis at the Brattle this Saturday! Woohoo!

6. According to Steve Ballmer, Windows 7 is the "best version of Windows ever." That's an example of a statement that can be perfectly true without in any way being a positive thing. Sort of like saying that Ted Bundy was the nicest serial killer ever.

7. Polar plunges may be getting to be too popular. Guess they're turning into the new walk-a-thons.

8. Application-level spellcheckers vs online search-engine spellcheckers.

9. The Electric Company is back! I just want to know if Spider-Man will be a part of the show.

10. Finally, for the Watchmen fans, The New Frontiersman has a website, although there's no content there yet. I'm assuming it'll have something up soon, though.
