My Arisia schedule, 2009:
Friday, 6PM: We Want it on DVD! (moderating).
Saturday, 11AM: Misogyny in Comics -- One Year Later (moderating).
Saturday, 12:30 PM: SF Films to See Before Transcending this Plane (moderating).
Saturday, 2PM: Keeping the Faith: Changes in Your Comics.
Saturday, 3PM: The Big Fear: Genre Fiction as Social Commentary (moderating)
Saturday, 7PM: Warren Ellis: Genius, Madman, or Both?
Sunday, 5PM: The Power of Myth.
Sunday, 8PM: Too Many Chainsaws (moderating)
Sunday, 9PM: In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream (moderating).
The only other events that are absolutely on my calendar are
shadesong's reading on Saturday (4:30PM), and
mgrasso's Mage game on Sunday morning (9-Noon). Yes, I'll be playing in an RPG for the first time in over ten years (not counting one abortive D&D attempt in 2002).
Needless to say, if you see my on Saturday, I'm likely to be grumpy (grumpier, actually, as "grumpy" is my natural state). Five panels is a lot. By the time I'm at the Ellis panel, I might be in the same frame of mind as Spider Jerusalem. I have a love/hate relationship with moderating (based, naturally, on who I have to moderate, both on the panel and in the crowd), so the level of grumpiness could vary.
There are other nifty folks on these panels, too (including one with both Jeanne Cavelos and
yuki_onna!).
As for panels (other than 'song's reading) that I'll attend, I don't know. Saturday is so fucking awful that I can't imagine I'll be able to deal with panels in my few free minutes. Sunday has some potential in the afternoon. I prefer to play things by ear, instead of sticking to a rigorous schedule. I'll certainly spend some time in the open gaming room, of course, and the green room and consuite.
Would love to see folks at the con. Please remember that I'm really faceblind, so if you're not wearing a name badge with your name (or your LJ name) clearly marked, the fact that we had a three-hour conversation and/or a wild sexual encounter involving a piñata, three grapefruits, and sugar-free Cool Whip two years ago won't necessarily be enough for me to remember you. So if I walk by you, or stare blankly at you when you shout my name, it's not you, it's me.
