FYI, I've posted my first panel summary in the Arisia community. I'll be posting the rest of them there as well (over the course of the next week or two).
I forgot to mention during the panel ... watching ALIEN at home is *not* anywhere near the same as watching it in a dark theater!
As I did mention .. the movie was messing with my mind. I *knew* I was getting scared, really scared .. and I was a 30 year old adult .. I knew that I should leave the theater .. but I stayed and paid the cost.
At the time I had a second job as a Disco DJ and I had to work that night. For the life of me I could not choose the right songs and mix them properly ... AND the next day I went to my full time job .. in a photo lab .. and I had to load film for a half-hour or more IN A COMPLETELY DARK ROOM (no safelights .. a *totally* dark room) I kept thinking that the monster was just out of reach and if I turned on the lights .. it would be all over for me!
