Amazon's got The Complete Get Smart for $67.99 (66% off) as their Deal of the Day! Woohoo!
The've also got a deal offering a $5 pre-paid Mastercard if you buy one of eleven movies. Most of the movies are at least 30% off, and Pretty Woman and Becoming Jane are at 50% off/$9.99 already. Other movies include the Criterion edition of Chasing Amy, Step Up, Father of the Bride, and Coyote Ugly.
Finally, as expected, there's a mega-sale on Oscar-winning movies. As always, this includes some great flicks (too many to list, but pretty much anything that's won one of the big awards is here) although there are so many movies here, browsing might take a long time. Still, deals range from 30-60% off, so there's stuff worth grabbing.

Two, no, wait, three questions.
Date: 2009-01-29 03:57 pm (UTC)1. How much of my income is disposable every month, and on what do I want to dispose it?
2. How much time do I have to watch these things, given my current (and let's call that tendency in the last year) scheduling patterns?
and 3. How much shelving/storage space do I have?
I think that, were I to actually organize my books, I'd not have enough shelves unless books were two deep on the bookshelf, which I would not prefer. There is app. no space designated for DVDs: what I have is on a little table near the computer. *sigh*
It's not that I don't want to have a collection of movies. I think buying Oscar winners would probably be a fun endeavor. I think it's more a hesitation to do things RIGHT NOW.
