Yeah, I think I made the right call

Decided to pass on the Friday the 13th screening I had a ticket to tonight.

After reading this (spoiler-tastic, if you don't want to know how some characters die) review over at Latino Review, I'm glad I passed on it.

And yes, I'm saying this as a fan of the series. The race issues bother me a lot, and the writing just sounds dreadful. Overall, it scans like "Hatchet Lite," which seems kind of pointless.

When I do see it (on video or other means), I will, of course, review it and assign it a place in the countdown.

I just got home from the free screening here. Worth every penny, let me tell you.

We've agreed to see it again for more detailed sporking. It's a triumph of idiocy.

I grabbed Patrick and walked out at the 60 minute mark. I was boredboredbored, and had other things to do.

I went to the screening with the vague hope that, if they were doing a reboot, they'd do something fresh. But it's the same old crap -- douchebaggy guys and topless bimbos being stabbed with a machete. With the *ADDED DULLNESS VALUE!!!* of Jared Padalecki passing out flyers and looking for his missing sister.

Yawn.

Whenever I see the previews, I hear the whiny dialogue from Virtua Fighter 2, with Jacky saying, "I'm just looking for my sister."
