Well, Insomnia struck again last night. Was up until about 1. On the plus side, I'm now only about two years behind reading PVP, and I now know that I've been mispronouncing Patricia Wrede's name for years.

On the real plus side, the folks at flavia are demoing their new coffee machine today in the library lounge, and it's got a zillion choices and it's really nifty looking. And all drinks today are free. So at least I'll have all the caffeine I'll need.

Grrr. After downtime all day yesterday, the server is fucked again today. And I really don't think Centrinity has any idea that their consistently crappy service and poor back-end product are very likely going to kill any chance of the product license getting renewed at one of their larger institutions. Which sucks, since there is still no groupware product on the market that offers the front-end and mid-end features that FirstClass does.

Oy with the poodles already

This is going to be such a long afternoon. I've created a word search for her thanks for Puzzlemaker (http://puzzlemaker.school.discovery.com), as well as some mazes, but I can't find any way to induce indoor voice. I swear, kids need mute buttons. Or at least volume control.

She's now on Marisa's Windblows machine (which is state of the art, but Marisa only uses Macs if she can help it), playing a Spongebob game on nick.com. Which doesn't make things any quieter, alas, as she talks a lot when she plays games. And gets very agitated.

On top of everything else, the server is still down. I may just take the kid to Cold Stone Creamery soon. :-)
