Note to self

If a kitten is in your lap, rubs up against the keyboard drawer, and, when the drawer slides in, tries to save himself from falling, expect claws in the thighs. In the future, try wearing jeans at the computer.

Max isn't a keyboard kitty, but Jack sure is. :-)

Because I really don't say it often enough

I don't talk about what shadesong and I have nearly often enough in my LJ. I'm the first to admit she's not perfect, and has made the occasional mistake or two. But she's also my partner, the person I live with, and one of the two people that I love more than anything in the world. We're not lovers anymore, but we're partners in every other way. I honestly can't imagine living without her, or not raising Elayna and the cats with her. We've had a damned painful path getting to this stage, and brambles still get tossed onto the path. But it's not one I'm straying from.

Becoming artwork

Looks like I'll be getting drawn for the second time, ever, as Bookslut is reworking their About page, and wants to have cartoon drawings of all the writers. I've got no idea what the artist is like. I'm just hopeful that he's half as talented as xanadumalion (see current image). Could be worse. They could insist on posting photographs. :-)

I got my first piece of Bookslut fanmail! Someone wrote in agreeing with my review of Cerulean Sins! That means at least one person I don't know has read me!
