I'm working from home today, awaiting a new bed. As a bonus, I have more time to play with the new kitten. :-)

I've now watched two movies in a row in which Josh Lucas dies a nasty death. This almost makes up for Sweet Home Alabama. Almost.

Last night, we attended [livejournal.com profile] libidoergosum's birthday party (which, since [livejournal.com profile] dwivian was there as well, had two birthday boys). It was quite nice, and the pizza was quite yummy.

And the Mets got rid of the energy suck that is Robby Alomar! Woohoo! Now if they can dump Benitez (because what team wouldn't want a pitcher who blows save opportunities every week?).

Am now exhausted. I want the bed to arrive first thing in the morning, so I can take a nap.

So, the bed arrived this morning. I tossed Max into our bathroom, while Jack remained trapped in the Elayna Suites area.

Fast forward twenty minutes, after the bed is set up, and I go to retrieve Max. Instead of bounding out, I hear nothing. I walk through our bathroom, and see that Max has pushed the door to my office open. In my office, there are Max and Jack, just staring at each other, about five feet apart. I have no idea how long they'd been like that, or if there had been any tussling or hissing. I put Max back in the other part of the house, just to play it safe. But they both seem to have survived.

Anyone know, by the way, how to stop a kitten from gnawing at a mouse cord?

In the miscasting of the week, current rumor has Ashton Kutcher in line to play Batman in the next movie (with Christopher Lloyd as Scarecrow, not nearly as bad a casting job).

Maybe they can just do a World's Finest movie, and give us Ashton and Nick Cage's Superman together.
