Busy at work. Bleah.

This afternoon, the repairman comes to look at the drier, and he'll either replace the belt, or let us know that it ain't worth sinking money into.

Caught two more Season 5 CSI reruns. I see why some folks griped about this season. I don't mind the splitting up of the teams -- it gives the characters some new things to react to -- but bringing in a new cast member who can't figure out how to drop her British accent half the time drives me nuts. Can Louise Lombard please spend ten minutes or so getting coached by Hugh Laurie?

Only caught half of Medium. Will be watching the rest as soon as possible, given the storyline.

Also watched (and already griped about) Emily's Reasons Why Not. And the latest Boondocks, which was damned funny. Every show needs a guest appearance by John McGinley!

That's all. Too swamped for a real post.

Wow. Bruce Sutter -- a player who I freely admit I've changed my mind about any number of times -- finally got elected to the Hall of Fame. Good for him.

That said, the fact that Jack Morris wasn't even close is a fucking crime. I don't care if he wasn't the nicest guy in the game. He belongs in the Hall.

Full voting here, where you can read that two of the voters smoked enough crack to vote for Gregg Jefferies (we can only assume they live in an alternate universe in which he lived up to his 1988 potential) and five voted for Hal Morris (confusing him with Jack, I assume).

*sigh*

My new laptop -- a 15" Powerbook G4 -- arrived at work last week.

So of course Apple announces the ludicrously nice MacBook Pro today.

Granted, they won't be out for another month, and I needed the laptop sooner, and it's not like I plopped down my own cash. But dammit, I've got tech envy. And lust (in the case of the new iMacs).
