Got more sleep last night. Less cranky today. Go figure.

TV-wise, I watched two more CSI reruns last night (including the infamous furries episode). I adore Catherine: "I'm having Hunter Thompson's Flashbacks."

Also caught one rerun of Everybody Hates Chris. Still have another one (plus the new Medium) to watch, but since tonight's Gilmore/Scrubs, those will have to wait.

I posted a link last night to Emma Bull's thread on Battlestar Galactica, which has turned into one hell of an interesting thread (as I noted, I've never watched BG, and Emma's only basing her comments on the mini).

The nominees for the 2006 Bloggies are up, and they're the usual mixed bag, as much due to the lack of major categories (why is there a food category but no sports one, etc) as anything else. Still, some fun stuff there, including all the foodie blogs (none of which were ones I nominated).

The new issue of The Escapist is up. Not a lot of great stuff this week, but there's a good (but short) article on videogames and history.

Finally, the thing that's made me happiest in the last twelve hours: Discovering that Dzur is available for pre-order at Amazon (at 34% off, even!). It comes out on August 8, which means it would make a perfect 34.33 birthday gift for me. Just sayin'. :-)

According to a Breaking News headline on CNN.com:

Warner Brothers, CBS joining to create CW Network; WB and UPN to cease operations, according to CBS chairman Les Moonves.

Wow.

That would be huge. And it would suck, royally. I watch more on WB and UPN than I do on CBS and NBC put together.

ETA: this link clarifies. I thought that CW was the new CBS, but it replaces WB and UPN, so we're only really losing one network.

Want to know what was going to happen on Reunion?

Head here and scroll to near the bottom of the page (the final four questions).

Needless to say, spoilers aplenty, although for something we'll never see.

From that same column I just linked to, turns out that both Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat (George-Michael and Maeby on AD) will be guest-starring in one episode of Veronica Mars! Yay!

IF YOU SEE FLOOD WATERS...REMEMBER TO TURN AROUND AND DO NOT DROWN.

I'll get a screencap in case the link goes bad.

But has there ever been better advice? Because, you know, my first instinct would've been to drown.
