Thursday TV stuff
Jan. 26th, 2006 09:02 amLet's see. Last night, given a choice between Veronica Mars, which will be rerun two more times in the next week, or Lost, which won't be, we chose VM. Yes, it's that damned good.
And this was even more damned good than the previous ones.
( In preparation for Lucy Lawless's guest stint, I drank my evening coffee out of a Xena mug. Anyway, spoilers follow. )
Then, there was Drawn Together, which I won't spoil, save to say that it was as funny as always, with some great shots at older cartoons. Ling-Ling the Loofah was brilliant.
Speaking of DT, it's now available at the iTunes store, along with South Park, South of Nowhere, Wonder Showzen, Spongebob, and other good stuff.
Finally, watching an episode of Superman: The Animated Series, I was pleased to see that they'd replaced Sandra Bernhard (one of the few guest star voices to utterly flop for me) with Jennifer Hale as Gspltsnz (Mxyzptlk's significant other). Much better choice. Hale is probably tied with Tara Strong as my favorite voice actress, and this episode was written by Paul Dini. I so love the late-night Boomerang reruns. I'm catching all the episodes of Batman and Superman that I missed the first time.
