Friday fun stuff
Feb. 3rd, 2006 08:57 amIn another episode of "Adam's late for the party," I'd never even heard of Rocketboom.com until last night's CSI. See? TV can be informative.
The CSI rerun I watched at 7, incidentally, had Reunion's Amanda Righetti in a blink-or-you'll-miss-it role. Not that it's really possible to blink and miss her, but this was way early in her career.
KOL update: I'm up to 473 pounds worth of familiars. I'm hoping for the Black Hole Terrarium trophy by the end of the weekend, although since one of the three remaining ten-pound familiars is my pet rock, it may be close. The rock, the Potato, and the Balloon Monkey are all still at ten, and my leprechaun is at sixteen pounds. Everything else is at nineteen or twenty. Once I finish that, it's off to ascension for me.
Over in the House, the Republicans rejected the only man more corrupt than Delay in favor of, well, the only man to ever get caught handing out big tobacco bribe money on the House floor. Let's hear it for the reformist. Oh, wait. He came in third in the election.
Over in movies, the Tarantino/Rodriguez combo horror flick Grindhouse has officially been greenlit! Woohoo!
Finally, who knew? The best-selling iTunes shows amongst all the new MTV Networks shows? The various stand-up comedy specials. Not really a surprise -- a good comedy routine is something I might want to watch multiple times, so makes for a better purchase. Still, nice to see MItch Hedberg getting some posthumous recognition.
