KOL: I ascended hardcore on Wednesday. I'm currently at level four, and enjoying actually having to play the lower levels again (something I haven't had to worry about in ages). Which is not to say it's not also a wee bit frustrating.

Books: Started (and finished) the latest Andrew Vachss novel, Mask Market. Not surprisingly, I adored it. Burke is just a great character, and Vachss writes him so damned well. Lots of the usual stuff --sex, violence, some surprising humor (there's a wonderful scene early on involving a paranoid and cell phones in the subway), and the usual share of political commentary (shots at Bush and co. over the Terry Schiavo case as well as plenty of vitriol aimed at NYC's DA Morgenthau over just about everything).

Cons: I'm insanely jealous of all of you at Worldcon. And even those of you who aren't at Worldcon, but who aren't working for the weekend (whether or not you're Lovin' Every Minute of It).

Pluto: It'll be back. Wait and see. Our boy'll put on a few pounds (courtesy of space dust), fix his orbit, and be a real planet again in no time at all. Relatively speaking.

Mets: Paul Lo Duca hit a triple and got an infield single yesterday.

Free granola bar: Here.

Ann Coulter: Still an idiot. "Things are going swimmingly in Afghanistan." Then she just gets ignored like the mindless twit she is.

Health: Result of the physical from a few days ago: My ekg and blood pressure were great (I'm always surprised by the latter, given how much stress I'm usually going through in late summer). I need to lose weight (*gasp*), and we'll know the results of the labwork when we do.

Lunch: Today's lunch is not only free, but will be from Savage Pizza. I will, therefore, be very full. And happy.

Work: Busy. Took me nearly two hours to put together this post, which probably tells you why I don't have much time for LJ or anything else nowadays.

Ever wondered what Megatron would look like if he caught the robotic equivalent of a venereal disease?

Thanks to Michael Bay, wonder no more!

(link ganked from my entire friends list, it seems)
