Not many Amazon deals today (see yesterday's post for more), but their Deal of the Day (good until Midnight) is a doozy: The Senseo HD7810 Coffee Pod Machine Gift Pack for $54.99 (49% off)! I love coffee pod machines, especially at work, when making a pot of coffee isn't a viable option. This comes with a travel mug and two bags of pods, as well. Note that only the black Senseo is on sale for this price.

To top that deal off, Senseo is offering a $20 "rebate" (actually a $20 Amex gift card) with purchase. I always recommend that people assume they won't get the rebate when buying something; if you get it, that's great. But in the meantime, you're mentally assuming you've spent $34.99, but you haven't.

Their other new discount in the Kitchen section is the Pinzon Penguin Wine Opener Gift Set , going for $19.99 (60% off).

Over in videogames, the PS2 version of Phantasy Star Universe is on sale for $19.99 (see yesterday's post for the X-Box link).

For Windows gamers, the IceWind Dale Ultimate Collection is down to $19.99 ($33% off), while Icewind Dale 2 by itself is down to $5. The Neverwinter Nights DIamond Compilation Pack is down to $14.99. And Gothic II: Gold Edition is down to $12.99.

Finally, in books, today is the release date for Hannibal Rising, the latest from Thomas Harris, on sale for $16.77 (40% off).

Not much else today (and I've got a ton on my plate, so I can't spend as much time browsing as usual).

Off. . .

To the first meeting of the day. And it involves going outside first. Must find coffee en route.

Ha!

That whole story about the absentee ballot sent in with an "Inverted Jenny" stamp?

Turns out it was a fake stamp.

(I'd figured it was either a fake or an act of malice against the stamp owner; no one this side of Homer Simpson would have those stamps just sitting in a desk drawer).

Galaxion!

I had no idea that Galaxion was now being published online! Yay!

Funny -- a few months back, there was a fan letter from Tara's husband in an issue of Amelia Rules, and 'song and I both wondered if she'd ever start publishing again. Glad to see she is.

All of you should go read the strip. Now.

Yay!

In my post about Saturday night, I mentioned that Elayna agreed to assist with [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna's reading. [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna not only goes into more detail here, but has both a picture of Miss Kid, and an icon based on the picture.

Attention Chicago-area folks: R. Kelly has issued a casting call for the next installment of his Trapped in the Closet video. After reading [livejournal.com profile] murnkay's review of the original set of videos, how could you not want to be a part of this?
