Curt Schilling responds to the "fake blood" allegations. And boy is he pissed.

I honestly have trouble envisioning Gary Thorne as a liar (mistaken, sure, but not dishonest). But I also can't see Schilling faking the sock, either.

Of course, what I can see is Doug Mirabelli saying it to someone else in jest, or possibly to score with a potential Annie Savoy ("nah, you don't want to sleep with Curt; the whole sock thing was a trick, and I'm the one who was behind it, anyway").

Amazon's got the bundle of all three Invader Zim sets for $16.99 (43% off)! Yay!

Note that this doesn't include the house box, which is another $25.99, but it's cheaper to buy the disc and house separately than to buy the combined set ($116.99).

The Charlie Rose Show, from Jun 5, 2002. His guests include David Halberstram and Jack Valenti.

If this were a Final Destination movie, Ken Auletta would be in so much trouble.

1. I left my power cord at work again. Which means that I'm stuck with my crappy old laptop, whose connection comes and goes like a karma chameleon. So not much netsurfing for me this weekend.

1.5 This also means that I don't have all the tabs I set aside to read, post about, etc. Feh.

2. Watching Stick It with my wife. It's surprisingly fun. And it stars the hot shape-shifter from Heroes. It's also a damned fine critique of everything that's wrong with gymnastics (mainly the labyrinthine system of rules, the pathetic judging, etc).

3. We have lots of yummy stuff from Boston Organics. Yay!

4. My wife's schmoopiness makes me schmoopy too.

Off to see if I can log on with this piece of junk and actually post.
