1. Oh No! Oh My! covers one of my favorite Huey Lewis and the News songs. Alas, they don't quite do it justice, but hey, free MP3.

2. Cheap Weed! Um, Weeds, that is. Season 1 is the Amazon Deal of the Day, going for $11.99 (60% off).

3. Other cheap Amazon deals are there for the Wii owners: WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Super Paper Mario, and Cooking Mama are all 20% off, down to $39.99. Not bad for three of the best games on the system.

4. Apparently, UPS fudged some of those guaranteed deliveries for Amazon this weekend. Which would be bad enough, but one of the folks they failed to deliver to is a Technorati Top 100 blogger.

5. Not, incidentally, that I haven't had my share of experience with UPS (and, more often, especially in the new location, with FedEx) lying about attempted deliveries. Anyone surprised by this has led a charmed existence when it comes to package deliveries.

6. Y: the Last Man is being made into a movie! It's the same team behind Disrturbia (which I haven't seen, but about which I've heard very mixed things).

7. Big Love has been renewed! Yay!

8. A look at add-on ticket fees in baseball. The Red Sox, Giants, and Cubs should all feel pretty ashamed of themselves here, although few teams are off the hook on this one. As noted late in the article, it's not a matter of what the ticket costs, but the implication that your ticket is $17 when you're really shelling out $25.

9. Alan Moore, Dan Clowes, and Art Spiegelman on The Simpsons!

10. Finally, Starbucks is raising their coffee prices again! Run for the hills! Or just, you know, make coffee at home.

Blogathon!

Blogathon is this weekend, and our house will be turned into a minor pit of blogging insanity, with no fewer than five people blogging away (I will not be one of them, thankyouverymuch, as I've got this thing about sleeping). One of them will be my lovely wife Shadesong, who is blogging for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. It's a great cause, and one which you can read more about at the link above, in which 'song explains what she'll be doing and why. If you're already convinced, click here to go ahead and sponsor her.

Needless to say, even small donations help.

Bonus: 'song's post also contains links to fifteen other folks blogging this weekend, many of whom are also on my FL, and all of whom are working to raise money for wonderful causes.

So, I can either buy two half-seasons of 30 Rock for $18.89 a pop (or $26.98, going by list price), or I can snag the complete Season 1, on the same release date, for $32.49 ($49.98 list)?

I mean, I understand shows breaking things up by season (no one should be forced to own season 5 of Babylon 5, after all), but by half-season? Why?

New Tori Amos tour! Boston is Oct 18. Let's see if the cost of tour t-shirts has finally broken $100!

Both at the same link (although at separate parts of the Flash-based site).

US Only, and the free candy bar coupon is while supplies last, from 9-5 Pacific Time each workday.

If Superman loses his bottled city and then covers it up, does that mean that he's operating without candor about operating without Kandor?
