I just slipped and fell down the stairs in front of our house, landing on my well-padded (but not nearly padded enough, for today's purpose) ass, and bouncing down each successive step to the ground. My coccyx hurts a lot. Which if funny to say, at least.

Did I mention that the steps iced over last night?

I decided that staying home was the way to go after that. Ibuprofen can kick in any time now, thank you very much.

Amazon's Deal of the Day is Band of Brothers for $25 (69% off).

The VideoGame Deal of the Day is NHL 2K8 for the X-Box 360 for $19.99 (67% off).

The other Videogame Deal of the Day (part of the 10 Days of Videogames promotion) is an X-Box 360 Core Arcade Bundle with Beautiful Katamari and Viva Pinata Party for $279.99

In deals that last longer than a day, Master of Illusion for the Nintendo DS is $19.99 (33% off).

The Garmin nĂ¼vi 200 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator is going for $169.99 (60% off).

All those Kitchen deals I found over the weekend (the Roomba, the Kitchenaid Mixers, the assorted cookware and bakeware deals)? Turns out they're a part of a massive Kitchen Sale, with over 400 products on obscene discounts. Yeah, I rock at seeing the trees and not the forest.

Oh, previous deals from the weekend and before can be found here (mostly kitchen stuff), here (Heroscape), here (HD DVD, toys, kitchen stuff, videogames), here (tons of DVDs), here (videogames), and here (kitchen, books, links to some older deals).

In the process of searching for information for "what to do if you're a dumbass, slip on ice, and land on your coccyx, after you're done giggling over injuring your coccyx in the first place," I came across Jim Macdonald's post on the Vial of Life*. All of the medical posts at Making Light are great, but this one contains actions that you can (and should) take right now, regardless of where in the country you live (and in other countries, as well -- see the comments section). Go read it.

*Note: I did not actually Google the phrase in quotes**.

**Although I just tried it now, and found that it's a phrase that currently appears nowhere on the web. Until now, that is.

Anthony Bourdain's Holiday Special, tonight at 10 on The Travel Channel.

Note that this is not listed as an episode of No Reservations, so it won't get caught automatically by Tivo season passes.

Hee!

We've got three tweens here (actually, two tweens and one full-fledged teen), doing homework and griping about the fact that the manga is always better than the anime.

When I was their age, I didn't even know either of those words.

For fans of Scrubs, go to Robert Maschio's site to listen to the Todd Song, which NBC Standards and Practices decided was too much to run on the official Todd site .
