Back at work, slowly settling in.

The best thing about Father's Day? Not the gifts (which I certainly don't mind, of course). No, it was cuddling with my daughter while we caught the three most recent Dr. Who episodes from the UK (can we just give Steven Moffat his next Hugo now, please?), as well as the long-delayed season 2 finale of Eureka that we missed when Sci-Fi fucked with their rerun schedule. That's what the day is all about.

Anyway, back at work, and really tired. They've replaced our decent Flavia coffee machine with a crappy pod-based one. Otherwise, nothing seems different, so I'm assuming it's a budget cut thing and not my stepping into the Twilight Zone (which would, of course, feel like being cloned).

Tons to blog about. If I find time, I might even do so today.

Anyone who ever utters the phrase, "innocents have nothing to fear," (or any of the dozens of functional equivalents) is a filthy liar.

Innocents always have lots to fear, often more than guilty folks. The latter can at least cover up what they've done.

(inspired equally by reading Farthing last week, and by some of the dumber comments in response to last week's Supreme Court decision).
