Indiana Jones and the Temple of Meh
Jul. 10th, 2008 09:40 amSo, with Elayna sleeping over at camp, and 'song up in New Hampshire, I headed up to the Belmont Studio Cinema to finally catch Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull last night.
At least the popcorn was good (real butter, yo).
The movie, not so much. Had some nice moments, a few decent set pieces, and at least one good in-joke. It also gets mild points for giving Harrison Ford a significant other within ten years of his own age (something not seen since Clear and Present Danger). But it just doesn't hold together the way the other movies did. As camp adventure goes, it's better than a Stephen Sommers flick, but not as good as what I'd expect from Steven Spielberg. Still fun, mind you, but not as much as I'd hoped for.
