On the one hand, making jokes about similes and metaphors shows an interest in talking about language.

On the other, describing a musical act as "raping and pillaging" your iPod shows a lack of qualification to do so.

That said, I do appreciate the opportunity to cull my too-large list of podcasts.

Sincerely,

Amazon's Deal of the Day is on the complete run of Friends for $94.49 (60% off).

I'm not a fan of the show, but think of it as way to buy 236 copies of that catchy theme song for under fifty cents a piece. Bulk-rate music!

Also, the buy 1, get 1 free sale on video games continues through tomorrow, and there are some nifty older titles there, including GTA 4, Dragon Age, various Pokemon games, Majin and the Sacred Kingdom, and more.

Oak Park, MI Planning and Technology director Kevin Rulkowski is a complete and utter douchebag.

I'm not inherently opposed to zoning laws (they often actually accomplish a public good), but this is less a matter of a stupid law than of an asshole willfully being an asshole and misapplying the law.
